Tyranny in the guise of Incompetence

I noted yesterday that there were signs of some intelligence in the ranks of the Federal justicers. [Link] Rendering unto Caesar was demanded and imposed. Good show.

But I was taken by a statement in the article:

“A Kentucky county clerk who has become a symbol of religious opposition to same-sex marriage  was jailed Thursday after defying a federal court order to issue licenses to gay couples.”

I could not help but reflect that the statement was inaccurate. It should have been written as

“A Kentucky county clerk who has become a symbol of religious oppression to same-sex marriage  was jailed Thursday after defying a federal court order to issue licenses to gay couples.”

since what this clerk was doing was the worst form of bullying and harassment.

The Amish have a saying, actually a dictum, I think, that the worst sin is speaking for God. This seems to mean that imposing your beliefs on others is a crime as severe as murder or torture.

I have no problem with people having beliefs and imposing them on themselves, but I have enormous problem with those people imposing their beliefs on others. It violates all concepts of freedom and justice.

Which no religion, that I am aware of, embraces. They pretend to but are actually directive and dictatorial, all that is bad with organization and governance.

This contest is not about gender identification. It is about fundamental human rights. Are humans the slaves of their organizations or do the organizations exist to serve the humans?

And the relgionists are the NAZIs of the contest. At least some of them. The BAD ones. Evil.

The very thing they say they are not.

Can any more of their dogma not also be inaccurate and false? It seems unlikely.
