55 Cancri. Seems that this star has at least five planets in its solar system.[Link] So if we could get there, and any of these planets were habitable, we could run away from the mess that we have made of Tellus.
Malassezia globosa. The boffins have gene sequenced this critical fungus. Now to the list of homo sapiens, homo neandertalensis, and dinosaurs, we may add dandruff.[Link]
An actual other star-planets system in addition to our own Sol system, or the most intimate chemical details of a human pest second only to body lice in proliferation? Which is the more stupendous?
Sometimes I am glad that what I do with dissipative systems meets outright laughter from the people I tell about it. I would not want to have to suffer their attempts at stoicism.
